Can a tongue be too large for it's mouth?

Often times I find myself wondering about this, specifically after I chomp down on my own tongue. I also wonder when I'm having an off day and the words just don't seem to come out of my mouth like they normally do. I have heard that a disorder exists wherein a person's tongue is too large for their mouth, but a Google search yielded no results. Being that all sorts of strange things can happen in and around your body, I don't feel like it's that far out of the question... perhaps it's just a case of elephantiasis of the tongue? If anyone has the answer, inquiring minds would like to know. Until then, I leave you with a few popular sufferers...
