It might just be the Long Island in me, but I constantly feel the need to be near water. Lakes will do for a few days, but as far as living goes, I can't really imagine myself living very far from some good old free-flowin' H2O. That being said, people from Long Island, for the most part, absolutely adore the beach; at night, during the day, when it's sunny, when it snows, when it rains. There's not much that can stop us when we feel the urge. That urge becomes particularly great somewhere around mid-to-late May, as the girls begin to roll out their summer clothes and dusk sets in later and later each day.
Here's to a great summer for everyone, whatever it may entail.
